Thanks for writing! Here are some golden tips from me for winning more referred members on Medium. The following tips worked for me and now I have 100 referred members with just 1.8K followers.

1. Consistently write quality articles that add long-term value to the readers.

2. Use the Medium list feature to organize your contents more formally. I always do it. New readers get their memberships for long-term reading. They expect some quality work organized more formally. They prefer to find all the related contents in one place.

3. Write a friendly call-to-action paragraph before including the referral link. Here is how I write it: "I hope you enjoyed reading this article. If you’d like to support me as a writer, kindly consider signing up for a membership to get unlimited access to Medium. It only costs $5 per month and I will receive a portion of your membership fee".

4. Write your “Short bio” section more accurately by including your writing experience and some important achievements, the unique topics or niches you frequently write about and your referral link.

5. Customize your "About" page uniquely. Include your experience, how you support readers, your writing plan, benefits of reading your work, your image, your signature, and your pet image. See mine for an example.

6. Customize your header image including your writing niches. See mine for an example.

7. Keep updated on your referred members and email subscribers with your latest articles. This is to retain your referred members for long period. Before you hit the publish button, you need to keep the tick active for “Send a link to your email subscribers”. That will send your articles to all of your email subscribers which also includes your referred members. Keep in mind that your referred members are in your email subscribers list by default.

Hope these tips will be helpful for you to win more referred members on Medium.
